Ariadne GPS uses GPS and online services to tell you where you are and what is around you. This information can be inaccurate: GPS is usually within fifteen metres, but can be off by tens of metres, and online services may not respond. Ariadne helps you get an idea of your position and surroundings: do not rely on it completely. By using the app you agree that the author cannot be held responsible for damage resulting from improper use.

The app can use location in the background, which may increase battery use.

Privacy

  • Ariadne GPS has no accounts and does not collect your personal data.
  • Your favorites stay on your device unless you choose to share them.
  • Your position is used on your device. To turn it into an address, the app asks the map service in use.
  • From version 4.5.4, if the app crashes, a technical report is sent through Firebase Crashlytics (Google) so the problem can be fixed.
  • Apple provides feedback from the App Store.

This website uses a technical cookie to remember your language. It also counts visits with Google Analytics, which sets its own cookies and processes data on Google’s servers, including outside the European Union. The data is aggregated, is not used for advertising, and Google Analytics does not store IP addresses. If you prefer not to be counted, use this button.

Archive pages with videos embed YouTube (Google) in its no-cookie mode: data reaches Google when the page loads the video.
